I am often inspired by shapes and patterns found in nature when I’m creating art. This piece was a practice piece in preparation for my demo at Grassroots Art Show in 2017. I knew I wanted to push myself and include some of my favorite sculpted shapes in my demo piece. The main body of the spoon includes a honeycomb pattern on which I attached two symmetrical horns, a flower with an implosion marble center, and two sculpted leaves.
